Eddie is a principal and co-founder of Welch Hornsby, Inc. Prior to co-founding Welch Hornsby in 1988, he served as an account executive with Morgan Keegan & Company in Montgomery, Alabama. Eddie has 31 years of investment experience and is a graduate of the University of Alabama with a BS in Corporate Finance. Eddie currently serves as a member of the Board of Directors as well as in various leadership positions of The Gift of Life Foundation, which was founded to combat infant mortality in central Alabama. He is Chairman of the BCS Endowment for Women and Children and serves on the board of the Family Sunshine Center Foundation whose mission is to support victims of domestic abuse. Eddie also serves on the Charles Schwab Advisor Services Advisory Board and is Chairman of the board of Valiant Cross Academy, an all-boys school in downtown Montgomery. In addition, he serves on the Board of Directors of The Montgomery Area Chamber of Commerce, and has spent over 20 years coaching youth baseball in Montgomery. Eddie and his wife, Kathy, have two grown children.

Oliver is an Investment Consultant, joining Welch Hornsby in 1988. His primary focus is working with individual investors and corporate retirement plans. Prior to joining Welch Hornsby, Oliver served as an account executive at Morgan Keegan & Company in Montgomery, Alabama. A shareholder in the firm, he has 31 years of investment experience and is a graduate of the University of Alabama with a BS in Business Administration.
Oliver is a Montgomery native and is married to the former Ginny Dawson. They are the parents of two children. Oliver is an active member of Christ Church in Montgomery and serves on their Finance Committee.
Phillip C. Anderson, AIF®Investment Consultant

Phil is an Investment Consultant with Welch Hornsby, serving in that capacity since 1999. Prior to joining Welch Hornsby, he served as Senior Vice-President in the Trust Division of AmSouth Bank where his areas of expertise included investment management, retirement plan business development, and retirement plan design and product development. While with AmSouth, he led the establishment of a participant education group. Previously, he worked with a consulting group that provided retirement plan design and participant education services to 401(k) plans. A shareholder in the firm, Phil is a graduate of Samford University and has 30 years of investment experience.
Phil has been a strong proponent of effective participant education strategies and initiatives and has conducted countless group and individual participant meetings. He is a member of PSCA (Plan Sponsor Council of America), ASPPA (American Society of Pension Professionals and Actuaries), and the Revere Coalition, a study group of 15 independent, fee-only consultants from across the United States.
Phil is married to the former Lisa Hembree, and they have two sons. Phil has served as a member of the board of Briarwood Christian School and serves as an Elder of Briarwood Presbyterian Church.
Brian S. Mitchell, CFP®, CPWA®Investment Consultant

Brian is an Investment Consultant, joining Welch Hornsby in that capacity in 1994. His primary client focus is working with individual investors and corporate retirement plans. Before joining Welch Hornsby, Brian worked as an investment broker for a national and regional bank brokerage firm and previously worked for the IBM Corporation. He holds the Certified Financial Planner® and Certified Private Wealth Advisor® designations, brings 27 years of financial experience to the organization, and is a shareholder in the firm. Brian received his BS in Business from Auburn University.
Brian is a previous member and President of the Board for Agape of Central Alabama, an agency assisting vulnerable and orphaned children in finding permanency in safe, nurturing families. He is currently a member on the Board of Trustees for the Alabama Christian Academy.
Brian and his wife Leigh are the parents of two sons. The family attends Vaughn Park Church of Christ where Brian works with the youth and the Family Care ministry.
Robin A. Godwin, CPAInvestment Consultant

Rob is an Investment Consultant with Welch Hornsby, serving in that position since 1997. Before joining the firm, he was the Regional Controller for Palmer Wireless, a regional Cellular One telephone company. Previously, Rob’s career included serving in positions as the Chief Financial Officer of Rehab Associates, an owner of outpatient physical therapy clinics and provider of outsourcing services for hospital physical therapy departments, and as the Assistant Controller with Montgomery Rehab Hospital. He began his career with Aldridge, Borden & Co. in Montgomery, Alabama, where he earned the designation of Certified Public Accountant. A shareholder in the firm, Rob brings 19 years of experience to the organization and holds a BS in Accounting from Auburn University.
Rob is actively involved with Trinity Presbyterian Church and is married to the former Beth Vice. They are the parents of two daughters.
John P. Maloney, CFAInvestment Consultant

John is an Investment Consultant for institutional relationships and high net worth individuals at Welch Hornsby. Prior to joining Welch Hornsby, John worked in the investment advisory field including seven years spent with Highland Associates consulting to clients with assets ranging from $12 million to $2 billion. During that time he performed manager research on traditional and alternative investment strategies and also integrated and designed the performance reporting system at the firm. He began his career as a Fixed Income Analyst for the Retirement Systems of Alabama. John holds the Chartered Financial Analyst designation, has 19 years of investment experience, and is a shareholder in the firm. He is a graduate of the University of Alabama with a BS and MA in Finance.
John is a member of the Samford Brock School of Business Economics, Finance & Quantitative Analysis Advisory Board and has been selected by the Birmingham Business Journal as one of Birmingham’s Top 40 Under 40 in 2014. He served on the Investment Committee for the United Way of Central Alabama for nine years and was Vice Chairman for four years. He is the former president and a former board member of the CFA Society of Alabama, as well as an adjunct faculty member at Birmingham-Southern College. John also teaches religious education classes and is a member of the Advisory Board and the Parish Council at Our Lady of the Valley Catholic Church.
John is a Birmingham native and is married to the former Mary Everett. They have three children.
Donald F. Lutomski, CFA, CMAInvestment Consultant

Don is an Investment Consultant working with high net worth individuals and is a shareholder of the firm. Prior to joining Welch Hornsby, he served as President of an investment advisory firm in the Southeast, where he was also a member of the investment committee and an advisor. Previously, he was a Unit Manager with Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Alabama. He is a member of the CFA Institute and holds the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation and is also a Certified Management Accountant (CMA). Don has 19 years of investment experience and has a BS in Organizational Management from Auburn University and an MBA from the University of Alabama Birmingham.
Don serves as Treasurer on several boards including the A.G. Gaston Boys and Girls Club, Shades Valley YMCA, and the Birmingham Swim League. Currently, he is President of the Horizons School Board and has been a Junior Achievement Classroom Volunteer for over 15 years.
Don and his wife, Jenny, have four children and are members of Prince of Peace Catholic Church.

Kellie is an Investment Consultant, joining Welch Hornsby in that capacity in 2015. Kellie began her career with SunTrust Banks, Inc. in the corporate banking division. She subsequently moved to its asset-management subsidiary, TRUSCO Capital Management Inc., where she had responsibility for developing Institutional Client relationships. Upon starting a family, she joined her husband's private investment company, and they moved to Birmingham, Ala., in 1997. Kellie holds the Chartered Financial Analyst designation and has 12 years of investment experience involving publicly traded securities and private equity. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree (Fine Arts - Art History) with a minor concentration in Business Administration from Vanderbilt University.
Kellie has been active in a wide variety of civic organizations including the Birmingham Museum of Art, the Birmingham Zoo, the Alabama Ballet, Birmingham Botanical Gardens, and the Alabama Symphony Orchestra. She has also been active with Fixed Point Foundation and currently serves on the board of Cornerstone Schools of Alabama.
Kellie is married with one daughter, and they are members of the Cathedral Church of the Advent.

Alan is an investment consultant working with high net worth individuals and families. He began his career at Welch Hornsby as a client services representative in 2010. Alan is a graduate of the University of Alabama with a Bachelor of Science in Commerce & Business Administration with a major in Corporate Finance Investment. Alan holds the Chartered Financial Analyst® designation, is a member of the CFA Society of Alabama, and the CFA Institute.
Alan is a Montgomery native. He, his wife, Brooke, and their daughter attend First United Methodist Church in Montgomery.
Beau K. Williams, CFADirector of Research

Beau is Director of Research for Welch Hornsby, joining the firm in 1997. He handles all investment manager searches, due diligence, and performance analysis for traditional investments. Additionally, Beau serves as a member of the investment team and heads Welch Hornsby’s Research Committee. He has 19 years of investment experience and is a shareholder in the firm. Beau received his BS in Accounting from Auburn University and his MBA in Finance from Auburn University at Montgomery.
Beau is a member of the CFA Society of Alabama and the CFA Institute, and he holds the Chartered Financial Analyst designation. Beau actively serves on the Investment Committee of the United Way of Central Alabama.
Beau, his wife, Adrienne, and their son are active members of the Lutheran Church of Vestavia Hills where he serves as an Elder.
James W. Underwood III, CFAChief Portfolio Strategist

Jim is Chief Portfolio Strategist with Welch Hornsby, Inc. Prior to joining the firm, Jim spent seven years with Highland Associates providing investment advisory services to eleven clients with assets ranging from $25 million to over $2 billion. In addition to his client responsibilities, the last five years at Highland Associates, Mr. Underwood oversaw all investment manager research efforts with a primary emphasis on alternative investments. During the mid 1990s, Jim was an Accounting Officer within Compass Bank's Asset Management Division and a Practice Manager with Caremark. Jim received his BS in Finance from Auburn University and an MBA from the University of Alabama Birmingham. A shareholder in the firm, he has 18 years of investment experience, holds the Chartered Financial Analyst designation, and is a member of the CFA Institute.
Jim was selected by the Birmingham Business Journal as one of Birmingham’s Top 40 Under 40 in 2012. He is a former Investment Committee member for the United Way of Central Alabama and was previously on the Board of Directors for Children’s Harbor.
Jim is a native of Birmingham, Alabama. He and his wife, Amy, are the parents of two children and are members of Oak Mountain Presbyterian Church.
Brandy B. Hydrick, CFP®Shareholder

Brandy is Head of Financial Planning for Welch Hornsby and manager of the Charlotte office. Prior to joining the firm in 2014, she owned a fee-only financial planning practice for over four years. Before operating her own practice, Brandy spent almost nine years as a financial planner at two investment advisory firms. She began her career in 1997 and holds a bachelor of science in Consumer Science with a concentration in Family Financial Planning and Counseling from the University of Alabama. Brandy has over 18 years of financial planning experience in advising high net worth individuals and families in a fee-only environment.
Brandy has been a Certified Financial Planner® professional for over 13 years. She is the past president of the Financial Planning Association of North Alabama and is a current member of both the Charlotte Estate Planning Council and the Financial Planning Association of Charlotte. Brandy actively supports her alma mater as a member of the College of Human Environmental Sciences Leadership Board, receiving the distinguished Jack Davis Professional Achievement Award in 2014. With the depth of her experience, she is dedicated to developing comprehensive financial plans that meet each client’s unique financial needs.
